The Federal Chancellery plays a central role in the Austrian government. This website contains a wealth of information about the work of the Austrian Chancellor as well as the wide range of duties and responsibilities of the Federal Chancellery.

This website also provides information about responsibilities and the separation of powers within the Austrian government, historic facts, and links to all Austrian Ministries.

On 2nd December 2008, the new Austrian Federal Government was sworn in by Federal President Heinz Fischer.

Duties and designations of the Federal Ministries are established on the basis of the amended ministerial law.

    The summer review of the coalition – formed by the Social Democrats and the People’s Party – on its work during the first half of 2010 was under the motto "Achieving more together for the people in Austria".

    As Forum President Erhard Busek stated, the event focused on "the analysis of omnipresent tensions.
