Bioethics and Women Revisited: Clinical Trials, 31 May 2010
The Austrian Bioethics Commission feels that there is a lack of awareness and consideration of gender aspects in the field of bioethics. Women are underrepresented in decision-making bodies. The specific needs of women with respect to the selection of research topics, clinical procedures and research participation may not always be sufficiently considered. The Austrian Bioethics Commission has taken up this topic in a conference in 2008 and would now like to take stock of new developments in the field.
